Up in a Tree

Part 3 of the failed 365 challenge postings. I really like climbing trees and always have which is a little strange to me since I’m not a big fan of heights or spiders and the tops of trees have both. Those things don’t matter as much with climbing trees, though; it feels like a friend is up there with me.

Buddha Under a Tree

I’m interrupting my 365 challenge postings for this one. The Buddha became enlightened as he sat under a bodhi tree. This is an oak tree, but you get the idea. I like this picture because it is such a serene image. It really encompasses the feeling I strive for in my practice.

So I tried to do the 365 day challenge and as anyone who checks this blog on occasion will tell you, I’m not too hot at keeping up on something every day. That’s especially hard since I got a full-time job a week or two after I started it. BUT I got some really neat pictures out of it and I’ll post those here. Enjoy!

So sorry for not posting in so long especially since I have all these pictures from my road trip. I’m gonna try to be better about it in the future (but we’ll see how that works out >.>). To make it up to you, here’s a never before shown picture of the Lincoln Memorial from the outside.
